My Canon 1DX has a burst rate of around 15 frames per second. It has a buffer of around 45 Raw files before it has to think, and an almost endless jpeg buffer. In three minutes, I could capture a whole lot of nothing with a little bit of something.. and still miss a shot.
My Leica has a ‘burst’ speed of however fast I can advance the film. Maybe one per second. Though the ‘buffer’ is how long I can sustain that frame rate for.. which is perhaps two frames. Ironically, I feel I capture more ‘winners’ with a manual film camera than the computer aided modern camera.
