One of my favourite places to visit, the Art Gallery of South Australia.

The Art Gallery has been one of my ‘happy places’ since I was around 12 years old where my sister and I would hang out until it closed while waiting for my mum to finish her studies at the Adelaide Uni.

I became so familiar with the paintings that I could recall where any of them were located in the Gallery from memory.

Over the years it has had extensions, new acquisitions and curators, all of which has improved my ‘happy place’ gracefully. The current curator has made some very bold changes to the displays and feel of the gallery, which in my view, is outstanding, adding greater depth to the work within an updated visual wonderland.
