Part of the motivation to visit Hong Kong was to experience the human congestion.
In my backwater city we have busy days and peak hour traffic, but Hong Kong takes that experience to a whole new level. So many people everywhere like the blood cells pumping through the veins of a body, there is a constant flow of people walking through the arteries of the concrete jungle.
Only in the morning when the city was asleep was there calm. The slow rhythm of its beating heart evidenced by the sparse early risers where I was able to capture a few isolated people before the city stirred awake and frantically pumped multitudes of people through its streets once again.
