I’m a selectively patient person..
Dealing with people, waiting in line, driving behind slow cars in traffic (to my wife’s annoyance), are instances where I can quite happily wait.
However, when out and about with my camera I find it exceedingly difficult to wait out a scene for the ‘perfect’ moment. Many times have I spotted a location only to leave after a couple of minutes and turn to see the moment I was waiting for appear. I do recall waiting thirty minutes at a set of stairs for the right moment for a person to walk down into a wedge of light.. only to develop the film and not find the image particularly interesting.
Waiting at the Queen Victoria Building in this occasion was one of the rare times that someone appeared just at the moment I waa ready.
