The day after Christmas is traditionally a big shopping day for our humble city of Adelaide.
The family and I decided to see what kinds of bargains were to be had on such a big sale day, and generally enjoy the feeling of what it is like to be in a large city, for just the one day.
While in line at a popular gaming shop, I initiated a game of spotty with my daughter to fill in the time. Instead of spotting for yellow items which we normally do for ‘spotto’, I decided to spot for genuinely happy people. The task presented seemed legitimately easy as many people where literally out and about buying items that would bring them the most joy. Hard earned money, Christmas cash, sale prices, all were an opportunity for what I felt was an easy game.
We gave up after a few minutes of not finding anyone genuinely happy..
